I must admit, I purchased this cd just to be able to hear Paul's wonderful voice after so many years. What a pleasant surprise to know he put out a recent album!! I am a hugh fan of big band and swing (Brian Setzer is my ultimate favorite) and I couldn't wait to hear Paul. His voice has matured into a warm, sultry sound which suits this genre. Not as smooth as Dean Martin, but more modern and edgy. The arrangemnts are wonderful, and the band is crisp and amazing. To see this live would be a real treat!! One of the best tracks is Eminem's, Lose Yourself, believe it or not!! and, if I didn't already know Bruce's Hungry Heart, Paul's version could be a new single. Although not available in the U.S., this album is worth the pricy British Pound to import!!

I have followed Paul's career since he released Toast over 25 years ago. This is by far his most amazing album yet. His soulful renditions of both old and new favorites are pure bliss. He has done a tremendous job of "swinging up" songs from various genres of rock to give me a whole new appreciation for artists that I would not have given consideration to before hearing his versions of their songs. I was also pleased to hear Paul's original contribution on this album since besides having a timeless voice he is a great song writer as well. Although it cost more to have it shipped to U.S.A., it was well worth the price. Now how can we get him to tour again? At over 50 he has proven that he still has it in him to rock (and swing). Great idea but not all of the songs are worth it. At least there was some thought went into this album, not just lazily . (rehashing other people's arrangements of swing songs (yes you Mister Stewart, Williams and the others)

I am a big fan of Paul Young and saw him live with Nick Kershaw at the Hollywood Bowl back in the 80's and it was one of the best gigs I have ever seen.

I had most of his albums on vinyl but only have 'Best Ballads' and 'Paul Young' on CD which has a great country feel to it. I have similar swing album by Paul Anka also called 'Rock Swings' which I can highly recommend so when I saw this album by Mr. Young and read the reviews it was a must album to have.

Well, I don't think I have ever been so disappointed in an album. I'm not sure what the the other 2 reviwers were listening to but they can't be true Paul Young fans.I know he has had problems with his voice in the past but he really struggles to reach some notes and dare I say it but sometimes sounds out of tune, sorry Paul.

I have given this album 1 star just because it has Paul Young's name on it.
