Rock star Bryan Spencer needs some peace and quiet to deal with the death of his best friend. He ends up in a small town in Alabama, where he meets black bookstore owner Callie Lawson. Despite the fact that she is the total opposite of the hollywood bimbos he usually goes for, they become friends and then lovers. Can their relationship have a future when they have so little in common and they have to deal with their respective friends and families preconceptions and the media backlash caused by jealous aquaintainces.

I was up until nearly three this morning, because I couldn't put it down. I found it hard to believe this well written and very enjoyable book is the author's first novel. It's a witty, funny and sweet read, definitely one to reccommend to your friends.

I loved this book. It was funny, poignant romantic and most importantly; very well written. I couldn't put it down. I will buy her next book just because its got her name on it. Roslyn is a future romance superstar!

I enjoyed this novel, there were a few places where I didn't quite relate to the female character, but then, everyone is different, we're all product of our environment. It wasn't the greatest read, but I'm glad it's in my library because it's possible that I may read it again.
