Well, as most of you out there that have a baby on the way know, there are 1,000,000+ things that need to get sorted before the main event. But, at least to us, the NAME is the most important detail to be sorted before the BIG DAY! This book was nothing short of a Godsend in that department for me and my husband.

We were so tired of all the monotonous suggestions--Emma! Ian!--that had really no context other than that's what is "trending" at the moment, according to other soon-to-be Mommies and Daddies. So when we found this book it really resonated with us. Why not name our child something that has a special meaning to us, something that is connected to an artist that we are also connected to? So uniquely helpful for this important process!!

Highly recommended, to any future parents who are as blessed as us to have this opportunity to pick out a truly special name for our soon to be son or daughter!!

My husband and I are expecting, and have been looking for some good books. I saw this one and thought it was cute, so I preordered it. I could not be more impressed! It's thorough and has such interesting facts, for both my name and my husbands. Also, there are tons of great tidbits about music celebrities, what they named their kids or instruments, and more. I think that even someone who's not looking for a child's name would find a lot of great stuff in it. Definitely check it out!

This book goes past just listing names (although it does list names in a coherent and organized way). This book adds some inspiration to the naming process and is one of the few baby name books that has enough spirit to hold it's own as a book even if you are NOT naming a baby (although I am). Even though I did not FIND my baby name in the book, the one I plan to use, I found many close runners up, many middle name options, and some names I may use "next time" . If you like rock, rock history, babies, and you like books, this is a good pick.
