This is an unusual score for an action film - commonly they don`t have so much and so good orchestral music. Hans Zimmer and the others uses a large orchestra and chorus in the score. One reason to why this score is so extremly popular is may be the electric guitars,which gives it a rock sound combined with classical music. The only folt is that the calm music is too short (there are only three minutes on the entire disc). Among the other tracks,I love the first one. It makes a perfect introduction with the choirs and the rocky sounding Navy Seals theme. All the themes are heard there. It is followed by the intensive and sometimes calm Rock House Jail,with In the Tunnels as the main action track on the first half. The real action breaks out in track six,which is a fourteen-minute symphony of sorrow and intensive music,and in the final track,The Chase,all the themes are reprised in action versions to create some real car chase music. Over all,the score is one of the best of the 1990`s and definitly worth to buy. I am a a fan of Hans Zimmer by now. If Pearl Harbor is as good as this,I will be a greater fan.

The soundtrack is got to be one of the best around, it makes the movie what it is and brings forth the superb action scenes to life. It has a mixture of action music, such as the car chase scene ( track 8 - the Chase ) and some soft, calm music ( such as tracks 3 - Jade and 7 - Fort Walton : Kansas . If your gonna get one soundtrack this year, make it this one! It's a soundrack that everyone will find something enjoyable in......It's unesacpable!

Love the film ? love the soundtrack ! n-one who has seen this film would say it is boring and the soundtrack reflects that. It has to be aid this is up there with the best soundtracks ever and i have always wanted it...and if you have...now you can own it! its a must buy along with the film or after the film one of the greatest films of all time. buy everything.
