This is the perfect hardcore album, I have had it years and whilst I may have disowned a lot of the other punk stuff I used to listen to (simply because it is not actually that good) This album rules, with classics such as Sailin On interspersed by sweet reggae this is one of the most eclectic albums ever, from sheer bloody raw energy to a stoned dub. An aabsolute classic, and a must have for any wannabe punkers out there.

probably one of my top ten albums of all time . seething with anger coupled with the mellow reggae tracks and h.r's vocals makes this stand out from other hardcore bands of their time , and seeing them live only cements their place as one of my fave bands . check this out and their second offering i against i , you won't be disappointed .

Bad Brains' second album and the best they've recorded, before or since. Metal-edged hardcore meets sweet reggae, with HR's inimitable vocals. A clean production enhances Dr. Know's crushing guitar on the hardcore tracks, and the reggae excursions are sweet and uplifting. Produced by Ric Ocasek, this is seminal thrash, hardcore punk politics, and Rastafarian skanking: a truly landmark release.
