We've been on one of Bobby's walking tours of New York's Rock 'n Roll landmarks, and subsequently bought his book. What Bobby doesn't know about the rock history of NYC isn't worth knowing, and his book is the next best thing to actually being with him as he relates the stories and history of many of the famous - and infamous - music sites of the city. Can't recommend it enough!

The guide is good, but if you're in New York, then there is no substitute for doing Bobby Pinn's Rock Junket Tour. Great value, real knowledge and far, far better than any of the mainstream tours out there. But if you can't hook up with the tour or you just wanna do your own thing, then you could do a lot worse than this book. Yeah, OK, so it is inexpensively produced, but so too were The Ramones and they're still the great band ever to come out of New York.

Some interesting content but this is a very cheaply produced, thin book. I guess a plus point is its easier to carry round with you but £6 would be a fairer price.

This book rocks 25 Nov 2009

This book totally rocks. If you love rock and roll and New York (and who doesn't), this book is a must have for your collection. Bobby Pinn has crammed a ton of neat facts, photos, and places to visit all into one volume. No matter what style of music you love, there is something for everyone. Its sure to bring back memories - and make you want to go to New York again to make some new ones. I've never seen anything like this and I recommmend it to anyone who loves knowing where their favorite rockers lived, played, and knocked back a few drinks. The feel of New York comes right out of the pages.
ROCK JUNKET:Teaching us about our own city! 2 Dec 2009
By Ethel Germack - Published on Amazon.com
We found this book locally in Brooklyn, NY, and were intrigued as my husband and I are huge music fans. And we also love to walk NYC. This book footprints many of the rock sites in NYC that frankly we didn't know existed. We knew about CBGBs, the Fillmore, Madison Square Garden, but were not hip to the Electric Circus, all the Andy Warhol sites, Madonna's first New York apartment, the debauchery at the Chelsea Hotel, etc. Great colorful descriptions in an easy to reference format. And the book fits perfectly in your back pocket, so it's easy to walk with! Highly recommended.

Bobby Pinn captured beautifully in a book what he delivers in person! Highly recommend this book to anyone interested in Music, History or Travel relating to New York City! Great guide a must-have for anyone going to New York City! And while you are at it, book a tour with him, you will NOT regret it! Great job Bobby, see you on our next trip!
WOW!! This is the best Rock book out there. 17 Jan 2010
By Richard Dean - Published on Amazon.com
This is simply the best book. So filled with unknown tidbits and more places to visit than I could have ever imagined. This is a must have to a Rock junky. I bought a couple of copies as gifts for friends and the reaction was overwhelmingly fantastic. Everyone should have this book. It's like the complete encyclopedia of the New York rcok scene.
