About the Author
Libby Peter is a well known contributor to climbing magazines and is an International Mountain Guide and Mountaineering Instructor. She has visited many of the major climbing areas across the world, sampling all aspects of climbing from bouldering to high altitude mountaineering and everything in between. She currently combines climbing with freelance guiding and instructing from her base in North Wales, is also the Secretary of the British Mountain Guides Association and the co-author with Neil Gresham of 'Get out on Rock' an instructional DVD to rock climbing.

If you are involved in climbing at any level then this really is an assential piece of kit. All the stuff you really need to know is in this book written in a clear and simple style with excellent pictures and illustrations. This updataed version has more than enough extra information to justify replacing your old and tattered earlier copy. If you don't have an earlier copy then buy this. You won't regret it.

I've climb and mountaineered for about 7 years now as well as served 4 years in the Army and this book along with the ML book are perfect for almost any given situation. I believe it would serve as an essential book even for the most experienced outdoor enthusiast to refresh lost skills from time to time.
