Product Description

John Sullivan’s Rock & Chips is your chance to see the Only Fools and Horses crew as you’ve never seen them before! See where it all began in 1960s Peckham, with the Trotter family all under the one roof: Grandad, Joan, husband Reg and the teenage Del Boy. Plus, see the teenage versions of TV favourites Boycie, Trigger and Denzil.  All is ‘cushty’ for the family, until ex-con Freddie ‘The Frog’ Robdal appears and things begin to change…

This critically-acclaimed, feature length special is an essential addition for all fans of Britain’s favourite sitcom, Only Fools and Horses. Written by John Sullivan (Only Fools and Horses) and starring Nicholas Lyndhurst as well as fresh talent, James Buckley (The Inbetweeners) as Del Boy and Kellie Bright (Horne & Corden) as Joan Trotter, this is the long-anticipated prequel to the story of the funniest British family of all time!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it! 27 Nov 2010

The script is pretty dodgy in places, the story could do with filling out at some points but the superb acting and the attention to set and costume detail make this a brilliant start to "Only Fools and Horses". I loved every minute!

No extras on the DVD.

5.0 out of 5 stars An interesting prequel 28 Mar 2010
This is fun to watch and no mistake. Most of our favorite characters from Only Fools & Horses are present and correct as well as being clearly recognizable. The writing and casting are spot on this comedy-drama.It helps explain why Rodney and Del Boy ended up as they did. There is plenty of gritty realism as well as some bad language. This is not just there for broad laughs in other words.

If John Sullivan hoped to successfully wring one last bit of TV out of the Only Fools & Horses franchise then Rock 'N' Chips fulfills those hopes. It was a good solid bit of British comedy drama that should appeal to fans of Del Boy and Rodney. There are plenty of in-jokes that the large number of fans of Only Fools & Horses should love.

So don't delay- buy today !Amazon are selling it for a very fair price after all !

This is a fantastic prequel to the much loved comedy series Only Fools and Horses. Brilliant acting by Lyndhurst (its good to know that he can play other people).
I really enjoyed this. It is so cleverly written and played out. Definitely a must see for any Only Fools fan - 10 out of 10!
