This is the first time in the UK that Robotech has got a proper Complete Series release including special features.
The show itself is Awesome, it is an Anime suitable for all ages with an Epic story going across three generations where Earth is invaded by Alien Forces.
The special features are where most of the excitement comes from as it contains a ton of extra material including Robotech the Movie(Megazone footage cut out) and the Sentinels plus interviews, advertisments, alternate scenes and episodes, music videos and more!
If you already have the Manga UK release of robotech get the next boxset, its well worth it if you are a big Fan of the franchise. I for one really enjoyed the music videos as you get all songs from the three series plus some never seen before. If you want to know what all the extras are you just need to look at Amazon's DVD Description/Review.

Just look at all the EXTRAS. The fact that you get extremely rare Robotech The Movie, which I had on VHS and used to fetch easily £100 a cassette on Ebay, I sold mine for £50 only a few years ago, shows how much of a bargain this set really is.
Another steal is you get Robotech 2: The Sentinels, a 3 episode 1986 TV series which was the direct sequal to the first Robotech series. It was a Japanese, American coproduction which featured brand new animation and continued the story including marriage between Rick and Lisa, a must see moment. These extras can't be overstated enough. The DVD for this sequel alone is £30 on Amazon, while purchasing this whole boxset is only £35 for 85 episodes and an endless supply of dazzling extras.

Even if you've seen it all before, the extras (including behind the scenes documentary) make this a worthwhile purchase. If you've not seen it before, get ready for one almighty watch! Those were the days when cartoon audiences didn't mind a storyline that stretched over multiple, multiple episodes, and the result is a true space epic.
