Recently, Professor Stephen Hawking was quoted as saying that full Artificial Intelligence could spell the end of the human race. He probably read this book.
17 short stories of various lengths and the majority appear for the first time in this book. They deal with robots in a variety of guises - from house servants to nanobots and the various ways that they can cause issues with humanity.
Not all of the stories are 'doom and gloom' but they are all riveting.
I enjoy the occasional collection of short sci-fi stories but rarely find a collection where all of the tales within are well written and captivating.
This is one such collection and is recommended.
