Robot Chicken is the brainchild from Family Guy's Seth Green. It's a skit show with a difference, as it consists entirely of frame-by-frame animation with action figures, dolls and clay models and is voiced by an impressive array of guest stars including Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane and voice star Mila Kunis, Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Punk'd creator, Ashton Kutcher.
If the Family Guy show were to reproduce with an action figure, then THIS series would be the offspring. Imagine the non-important but hilarious and entertaining Cut-Aways from Family Guy as being the basis for an entire show and this is what you have; chock full of the kind of pop culture references highly entertaining nonsense that is as politically uncorrect, disturbing, and yet incredibly inventive hooks that captured Family Guy fans everywhere.
See Optimus Prime come to terms with prostate cancer, William Shatner's wig take on a life of it's own, and Alien vs Preditor on a blind date. Find out what the Big Brother house would be like if Michael Myers, Freddie Kruger, Jason Vorhees, Leatherface and Ghostface were locked in together, and Darth Vader do the River Dance, all in one box set!
The contents of each episode are so random and entertaining you never know what you're going to get so predictability will NEVER haunt you if you take a chance on Robot Chicken!

Great DVD box set! Fun to watch over and over again. However after watching the first season of robot chicken i didnt find the 2nd one as funny, but over time it grew on me. Season 3 is also great but the first season was the best of the 3, only problem i have with the DVD is the box set cardboard it comes in feels cheap and flimsy, but other then that, buy this dvd! you wont regret it

Admit it, at some point in our lives, we've all played with dolls and action figures! And some of us may have made those dolls do things that children should not even know about yet...
Seth Green and his crazy friends have taken this to a whole new level, making an unique rapid fire humor stop-motion animation with action figures, both old and new. The less-than-15 minute per episode show contains a lot of pop culture references, movie and TV show parodies, and 1-5 second "channel flips" which make you go "WHAT THE?!".
The show is perfect for that 30-something person looking to release their inner child... with a very mature sense of humor.
The Complete 1-3 series DVD box set is good value for the money, and the commentaries and other extras are well made and just prove how utterly and completely insane the makers of this show are. Seth Green explaining the concepts to the animators, while acting the scenes out, is endearing in his childlike glee - a "must see" for any Seth Green fan.
