I bought this because I have the Robin Wood deck and wondered if there were some deeper meanings. Robin Wood didn't disappoint and all is explained in detail. Must have the deck though as otherwise it won't make sense. Nice wiccan slant to things as this is the authors religion. Nice touch at the back where Robin shows illustrations of how the cards came about.

It's good to have it 26 April 2011
Format:Paperback
This book opens a whole chest of treasure for those, who use Robin Wood Tarot deck. Although you can be very succesful with this deck without reading companion book (for those who are familiar with Raider-Waite symbolism this deck is intuitive), having read this book doubles your connection with the cards. There is a lot of significant details hidden in the images and it is simply comfy to know them (although you don't necessary need them for reading). And the very reading is very pleasant (the book is well written), which also matters.

Robin Wood's Tarot cards are vibrant and attractive. In this book she explains the symbolism in each card with an engaging light-hearted way, while providing some profound clarification of the themes in use. An excellent supporting manual for anyone seeking to understand the Tarot better.
