This is a great, easy book for young people interested in Robin Hood -- presents Robin Hood as the champion of the overtaxed and the bane of society's tax-supported elites.
Level four easy reader -- lots of illustrations and some movie outtakes keep them reading along.
Good glossary, includes: abbott, archery, ballad, camouflage, condemn, forfeit, friar, Lincoln Green...
This good is fairly easy independent reading. If it's too easy for your child, try the DK Eyewitness Classics "Robin Hood" by Neil Philip which uses THESE SAME ILLUSTRATIONS, plus so much more. That one is much more a history of feudal Britain, with the Robin Hood legend woven through.
