Robin Edwards was born in Cardiff and after training as a quantity surveyor, spent several years working in the Middle East before returning to the UK to pursue a career in the media; writing, producing and directing for television and advertising. He was a founder of regional broadcaster Westcountry Television, Channel 2 TV Romania, and Business Digest, the largest weekly circulation business magazine in Eastern Europe, where he also acted as advisor and speechwriter to senior politicians and industrialists. He has more than a dozen creative awards to his name and is author of Nearly Swinging and The Gravecloth of Christ, and the children's novels Slaves!, Enemies!, My Ghost & Me and Dodger in Oz
