Product Description
The Poolside 2 (R9958) is a lightweight, compact and portable unit its splash proof and with its swivel handle you can conveniently hang it anywhere. The Poolside 2 provides 120 hours listening on a single set of two ‘D’ sized batteries making it perfect for outdoor use. The adjustable NAP timer enables you to set the radio to wake you after a predetermined interval - (up to 2 hours) and the Poolside 2 can also be set to turn off after a preset time has elapsed, this can be adjusted between 10 and 60 minutes in 10 minute increments.

I bought this radio to use in my bathroom hoping that the signal quality would be much better than the £10 shower radios that you get as a Christmas present. Its a hundred times better and picks up all stations available in my area where as before I could only pick up one or two in the bathroom.
Its digital with 5 presets in each band, has a clock and battery level indicator. It sounds fine for use in a bathroom and the buttons all feel nice to the touch.
A big bonus is that its wall mountable and white.
Its a great little radio as bathroom radios seem to be few and far between on the market.
Its a little pricey but should last for years to come.

I already have two Roberts radios and a CD player so it didn't take me long to choose the radio for my bathroom, without a doubt it was the best choice,
It looks good, is easy to clean,the sound,reception and choice of stations are great.
Dont hesitate buy Roberts!

Purchased this Roberts Splash Proof Radio (Poolside 2, Model No. R9985)as a replacement for a cheap Alba shower radio. The Alba just didn't deliver (probably to be expected for a £10 radio), it was always losing the signal.
This Roberts radio (which I think is a rebadged Sangean H201) is brilliant. The build quality is excellent. The signal locks on and stays locked on. The volume is sufficiently loud enough (without distortion) to hear over the shower (and with my ear plugs in!). The radio comes with a mounting kit so that it can be fitted to a wall, a swivel (locking) hanging handle, or a fabric carry handle.
I would definitely recommend this radio.
