The Sound 43 (MP43) is a fantastic table top multifunctional sound system with dock for iPod. The Sound 43 is perfect for any room in the house. The wooden cabinet interior ensures fantastic sound quality and the 6 position graphic equaliser with separate bass and treble gives you extra control.
The touch panel controls add a high tech feel to this incredible sound system and the high gloss piano black finish guarantees it not only sounds great but it looks great too.
The built in docking station for the iPod enables you to not only charge your iPod, but to also play it back through the incredible stereo speakers. This stereo has DAB and FM wavebands or you can play your own CD collection or MP3/WMA files via CD.

I would highly recommend this music system. The sound is excellent and has a warm quality. Chose this over the Bose ipod dock as it has fm/dab radio (which is also fab quality) and cd. It is definitely value for money Have never used my ipod so much!

I had to replace my ageing Bose Wave CD Radio, which went on the blink (dodgy CD player, and then it kept on switching itself to Kiss FM at high volume - even when off!). I would happily have bought another Bose, but this Roberts box seemed MUCH better value, including DAB radio, CD, and iPod dock, all of which work well. Like the Bose, the sound is not really hifi, and classical music can sound slightly boomy and/or harsh in the loud bits. However, like the Bose, the sound is very good for a box of this size, with remarkably good bass, and perfect for use in our kitchen (we use it mostly when cooking and washing up). I think the Bose sound was probably slightly better, but very little to choose between them. After a week's use, highly recommended.

Obviously Roberts have pitched this as a budget Bose but frankly most of us wouldn't be able to tell the difference in sound quality. I think it's a well thought out piece of kit and good value, it sounds good, is compact and has a robust feel to it. It struggles a bit when played too loudly and it certainly won't replace my hi-fi but in a small room, kitchen, bedroom it's ideal, can't fault it, very pleased with it.
