I was concerned when I read the previous reviews but I could not believe a Roberts product could be so poor and as it was exactly what I was looking for I took a chance and I am glad I did.

The radio is compact and yet the sound quality is excellent for a unit this size, the bass and treble can be adjusted to ones taste or use the preset sound effect, pop, classical, etc.

I would recommend that the instruction manual is read in detail as the menu system does take getting use to but is extremely useful for setting the radio to your taste, setting the alarms is straight forward. An alarm can be set for a specific day or every weekday and whether it should be Dab, FM or iPod along with the volume, etc.

I would recommend this clock radio.

This is an excellent DAB Clock Radio which I find very easy to use. As it has two speakers, it produces excellent sound output and is much superior to DAB radios (even from the same manufacturer) with only one speaker. It has a very good tone and the provided remote control is very useful (for someone on the other side of the bed!). The alarm is very effective without being annoying. Having listened to several others, before buying this one, I consider this to be an EXCELLENT DAB CLOCK RADIO and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DEVICE.

So many good things to say about this radio. It's nice looking, compact, the sound quality is fab (option to get the depth you want by setting the EQ to your liking) and it's easy to set up, finds DAB stations in a few minutes.

So far I haven't been troubled by interference from wireless and other devices, plus the remote is super handy. No problems playing my iPod and iPhone and it's a great and convenient charger, means I don't need an additional socket and cables to power these up.

But... on switching on I'm greeted by the sounds of my favourite radio station and a display that simply says <DLS>. To get it to show the date, time and radio station I have to press the info button a few times and then each time I switch it back on again. It's such a pain. Roberts helpline say it's because it can't pick up a strong signal from the broadcasting station. That seems odd to me, as the sound quality is great and the stations are well received. But it does it on every station and wherever I put the radio in my home. Didn't have this problem with my Pure DAB radio this replaced.

Other than that, I'm happy with it.

Unfortunately I have to agree with other comments on here. I bought the Roberts Dreamdock as I already had a Roberts Sound 66, which I must say is amazing.

Unfortunately the Roberts Dreamdock does not live up to Roberts usual quality. I have had the Roberts Dreamdock now for 4 weeks and I am at my whits end with it, apart from the constant intermittent low humming when switched off, the DAB radio sometimes works. I can switch it on and I get Off Air, as soon as I switch it off then on again it will work. So when the alarm is set to DAB radio sometimes it will work and sometimes it will not. Phoned Roberts, not really interested or that helpful, said to do a reset and that the DAB signal in my area is not that good (strange as all my other DAB radios work fine including the Roberts Sound 66).

I have rated this very low purely as it does not do its primary function of a DAB Radio alarm clock well. If the DAB radio is not an issue and you are using your iPhone/iPod then it will be fine but there are better products at less money that will do this job.

For its size it sounds good and it is not to badly built although a little plastic. Could do with auto dimmer as display is bright even on lowest setting and I find I am adjusting the brightness twice a day. The alarm is also a little annoying as you have to run through settings every time you switch it on.

Hope you all find this of help.

I bought this clock radio for my birthday, in May 2013, because my old clock radio was not always functioning as it should and I have wanted one which would allow me to play my own music as well. The Roberts DREAMDOCK certainly fitted the bill; however, I was somewhat peturbed by the gamut of disparaging comments in many of the other reviews. After viewing various models in shops, negative comments notwithstanding, I decided to take the plunge and I must say I have not been disappointed !

I found setting the alarms easy; it was only after I had set the time and the alarms, whilst clearing away the packaging, that I found the instruction booklet ! I really like the big button in the middle for turning the device on/off or changing the volume and, much to my husband's consternation, I absolutely love the remote control and being able to dim the display is a real plus ! My iPod classic (4th generation) works perfectly fine in the dock, which is also really easy to access either by the remote control or the functions on the DREAMDOCK, and, once you have selected the appropriate equalizer settings, the sound is perfect for a bedroom. It's not a hifi and is never going to sound as good as a hifi but I find it perfect for listening to the radio when I wake up and for listening to my pod when I am reading/going to sleep; in fact Radio 4 and Radio 4 extra sound incredibly good !

In short, I am extremely pleased with my DREAMDOCK and have not experienced any of the things mentioned in other reviews !
