Overall, I'm very pleased with mine. The sound quality is remarkably good, the digital radio tuning is much less fiddly than a dial, and the overall package is neat and compact.
However, it's let down by the control buttons. The radio tuning buttons double as CD buttons, which is fine in principle, but these are a little small and a little stiff. I'm sure it wouldn't have cost much more to make them a little bigger and easier to use ... and while they are at it, the LCD display could have been bigger and more detailed.
The most annoying thing, though, is the smallest: the switch which selects between radio, CD and off. Not only is it small, it's a strange ship which makes it hard to grip, and it's stiff to turn. The volume knob is great, and it's a pit this switch was designed as intelligently.
However, those are all niggles. Overall, this is compact and elegant unit which avoids looking too fashion-driven, and it feels solidly made without being too heavy. I'm very impressed with the sound quality, and despite my niggles about the controls, I don't regret my choice. It's just a pity that it comes so close to being a perfect compact portable stereo, without quite getting there.

This item is brillaint, easy to set up and the sound quality is very good for such a small item. The CD is easy to use and functions correctly as you would expect from this manufacturer.

Excellent FM. The reception where I live is generally pretty hopeless, lots of turning and twisting aerials, moving sets around etc, but not with this one. Very pleased! Perfectly good CD sound - certainly for my purposes - no complaints there, either. Good, clear (English only) instructions. I found button operations pretty intuitive, anyway, so won't need to refer to them again. A neat, compact, attractive piece of equipment. Prompt delivery. Delighted.

Maybe it's just me...
... but I personally found the sound quality to be rather dull and lifeless. WHY manufacturers can't include a little 3-band graphic equaliser any more, or even a simple 1-band... Read more

Ideal for a child's room
