Robbie is a masterly presenter, that is to say he is obviously not a professional TV presenter. He is clearly making this documentary because he loves the whole concept, and his delight in the whole thing is infectious. He has a nice way of confiding his thoughts and observations in you the viewer, as if it was just you and him on the journey. His clever natural wit is enjoyable, but never detracts from the detail, which is surprisingly well researched and presented. There is none of the dumb photography that ruins so many a good documentary, it is brilliantly shot and the sound quality is excellent. It would be difficult not to be interested by the subject matter, and the glorious scenery. Britain is still, down the B roads at least, beautiful eccentric and fascinating. Well worth the modest price.
