Product Description

'Their names are Karl, Lottie and Nev, and they work in a coffee shop. That’s all you need to know. Actually, you don’t even need to know their names that much; you just need to recognise the sort of people they are - the care-worn balding thirty-year-old, keenly aware he’s on the final lap of his youth, the girl who frets about everything (but food in particular), and the chirpy big-eyed twat with one of those unfortunate faces that you just want to hit ...'

For five years, BUNNY SUICIDES author Andy Riley has delighted Observer Magazine readers with his dark and funny weekly strip - Roasted.

Now collected together for the first time, here are the ongoing adventures of three wasters in a coffee shop – making an essential guide to the modern world for fans and newcomers alike.

Oh yes, indeed. If you thought Bunny Suicides was funny, you'll adore Roasted. This is pretty much what anyone tends to remember (cringeingly) about their twenties and hates about adults in their twenties now. Karl is, by far, my favourite anti-hero character.

This book was a gift and it just keeps on giving.

Roasted! 16 Jun 2010
By Dectora
Format:Hardcover
I was delighted to receive this; Andy Riley's cartoon series was one of the reasons for buying 'The Obsever', so the new editor cut it. The only drawback is that this collection, which is small format, lacks the big double page spreads, such as the magnificent Valentine's Day disaster when Lotte (overweght, worried about everything)goes out with an odious mean-spirited young doctor.

excellent series: is there more?! 12 Jan 2012
By Zach Robinson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
This is a nice collection of Andy Riley's UK cartoon about life in a coffee shop. It's more sensible than the Bunny Suicides and more even overall. It's fun seeing his art, humor, and characters progress.
