About the Author
Roald Dahl, the best-loved of children's writers, was born in Wales of Norwegian parents. After boarding school in England he went to work for Shell in Africa. He began to write after "a monumental bash on the head", sustained as an RAF pilot in World War II. Roald Dahl died in 1990.

I bought this for my niece this Christmas as I was assured that she loves the stories of Roald Dahl. I was particularly happy to buy this as I too loved his tales as a kid. The compendium includes 6 of the best and is very well priced. One happy purchaser, one happy niece!

My Grandaughter ignored the Plastic gimcrack and settled down in a corner to read this Christmas, she still hasn't surfaced! From my point of view, a brilliant buy, because I've had a VERY quiet Christmas!!
