Often it is difficult to find space for a standard 14" TV in a kitchen or study, so our customers require a space saving solution. Other customers need a product that can be used in a caravan, truck, boat or holiday home. The Roadstar CTV1042D is a compact real flat screen TV/Monitor that incorporates a built in Freeview digital receiver giving up to 30 TV and 20 Radio channels. The clever feature of this design is that digital transmissions can be received via the supplied internal loop antenna using our unique signal boosting circuitry. Obviously, this can only be possible in Freeview reception areas; therefore we have also kept the analogue tuner system for extra flexibility.Talking of flexibility, the CTV1042D features Mains, 12v and 24v operation and a multi system function (PAL I + B/G, SECAM BG + DK) for use in many other countries. On the base of the unit, there is a detachable swivel stand for ensuring the best viewing angle in a kitchen or desktop environment. The neat front panel controls are supplemented by a full function remote control with a sliding cover hiding the least used buttons. On the back panel are the mains and 12v/24v inputs together with a SCART socket for DVD/VCR connection and phono sockets for Digital TV output to another TV or recorder. Easily accessible on the side of the unit are phono inputs for a camcorder or games console and a 3.5mm earphone socket.The CTV1042D has a nicely designed on screen menu system that makes it easy to set up, adjust and use the unit. The real flat CRT screen ensures high contrast and minimum reflections. In the unlikely event that there is nothing of interest on the 30 digital TV and 20 digital radio channels, there is a 'Block' computer game built in. The EPG (electronic programme guide) gives you a thumbnail view and details of the current programme with scrolling option to preview all other channels. Normal analogue teletext is also included and the sleep timer is handy for bedroom use
