This album contains some of the best songs from the last twenty years. People of the generation the film was made for will enjoy most of the songs and absolutely love a few. Even those who didn't get the jokes in the film because their from another generation will find something likable here. From the so relaxed you can't move much sampled Minnie ripperton to the relaxed uplifting head nodding, eels, supergrass to the friendly rock of the KGB to the head banging Twisted sister and Buckcherry to the strangely likable ween, jungle brothers and lovin' machine to hard Run-DMC and Kid Rock. Something for everyone. All in all a damnably good album, just missing the salmon song

The movie was hilarious, the music is just as fun. By far the best tracks of the album are by the eels and the Jon Spencer Blues explosion. But Voodoo lady by Ween has a addictive quality to it. Definitely music to get into! The album has a smoother feel to it than you might of thought, but there are still one or two tracks to mosh to ~ like the KGB~ Fortune and Fame and It's Tricky by RUN-DMC. A quality record, worth the money, and still recognisable from the film ~ not too many inspired-by's on it. Happy listening!

The soundtrack to this film was excellent, which inspired me to buy the fabulous soundtrack. This Cd includes tracks that will suit your every mood, from love tracks to Rock. The Twisted Sister and Run-DMC tracks are superb, which are instantly a hit with anyone!. It also includes well known tracks by Ash, supergrass, and the brilliant eels,' Mr E's beautiful blues'. Buckcherry and K.G.B also provide two real head bangin tracks, which proves this soundtrack is a must for any rock, indie and smoochy fans!!

Good but not great CD 11 Jun. 2000
By Patrick Murphy - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
I bought this CD after seeing this hilarious movie. This soundtrack was no disapointment to the likes of the movie. My favorite song on the CD is the new song by Buckcherry. If you like hard, classic rock, buy this CD RIGHT NOW!

E.M.S.P. rules 12 Jun. 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This CD is tight! It has a great selection of various types of songs that are great to listen to in any mood. Their is everything from some older rock like twisted sisters "I wanna rock" to rap like Kid rocks E.M.S.P. which is my personal favorite because Kid Rock made one hell of a great song!

Brilliant 4 April 2010
By R. Graven - Published on Amazon.com

Not one of my favourite movies of all time but the soundtrack rocks.
I'm not a huge fan of covers either, however, 'Buckcherry's version of 'Anything Anything' (originally by the brilliant 'Dramarama') blows your freekin' head off!
An assembly of gold from 'Run-D.M.C.', 'Twisted Sister', 'the Eels' and, the resplendent 'Ween' to top it off!
It's a little nostalgic trip wrapped in plastic!

Music 17 May 2013

The CD was your typical original music soundtracks. I enjoyed some of the songs. Such as Buckcherry's cover of Dramarama's Anything Anything. The rest were ok.
Good selection of songs 11 Jun. 2000
By Alan C. Brockman - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
I saw the movie and think the soundtrack rightly complimented it. This soundtrack has a good selection of non-mainstream tunes. I hadn't heard any of them on the radio, but they were darn good songs. I really liked the track by the eels, and the one by Jon Spencer Blues Explosion the best. Anyway, good CD. I gave it 4 stars because it was an excellent CD, and I reserve 5 stars for albums that are destined to become classics.
