Product Description

Product Description

"Blackstone's Police Manual on Road Traffic" is the leading text on police law, and the only official reference work for police officers preparing for promotion examinations and for probationary officers. It covers all aspects of road traffic law and procedure from a police officer's perspective. The 2005 edition has been extensively revised to incorporate all legislative developments such as the Criminal Justice Act 2003, the Sexual Offences Act 2003, and the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003, and a number of case decisions and changes in policy. "Blackstone's Police Manuals" have become the best-selling police reference text in the UK. In addition to being the only official study guide for the police promotion examination in England and Wales, and the recognised text for police probationers, the Manuals have quickly established themselves as the definitive source for all who are involved in police law and procedure. Endorsed by Central Police Training and Development Authority, the Manuals have been written in consultation with polices force in England and Wales, incorporating views from Detective schools, Driver Training Centers, and operational officer and police managers countrywide. This new edition focuses on Road Traffic, and contains questions on classification and concepts of road traffic; offences involving standards of driving, including drink driving; accidents; safety measures; driving licenses; insurance; traffic signs; goods and passenger vehicles; and pedal cycles. It has also been revised and updated, and includes new questions on important areas of the law.

2.0 out of 5 stars Construction and use regs, 1 Feb 2012
By
Blyth (Northumberland, England) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Road Traffic 2005: 3 (Blackstone's Police Manuals) (Paperback)
I bought a copy of this for £1, so shouldn't complain. I was hoping for some information on the Construction and Use Regulations. Again, and to be fair, these regulations are updated so frequently that any publication is almost certainly out of date.

Unfortunately it had very little information on the regs.

Otherwise it may well be a very good book.
