On reflection, I think that maps are probaby best bought seen. This is a huge map printed on both sides and was great spread out on a table. However, it didn't appear possible to fold the map in such a way as to view a particular area for use in the car, which was where it would have been most useful. To that extent, I think that the description "Touring" is unhelpful.
Used this map in conjunction with the sat nav and found it an invaluable aid to the trip. As with any paper map once unfolded it seems impossible to refold it back, but hey! its a large map and double sided to show the whole region. Includes the places you may know about and those that aren't.
