I have a Kindle and so got hunting for a way to secure it so that it could be read when on my static training bike. Using a Rixen & Kaul connector was a given as I had these on several of my other bikes for other accessories.
When I saw this I thought the price was worth the punt just for the connector alone. But it turns out the case is just the right size for the Kindle, so I didn't need to engineer my own Kindle attachment solution. The page forward/back controls still work, the audio out can still be routed out of the case and screen is still readable. Best of course is that its all protected from sweat - and we are talking about a bike on a static indoor training stand so there is unavoidably a lot of sweat.
Yes there is some extra glare from the case depend on the angle and the lighting in the room but that's the only problem I've found. However, its certainly a lot lot easier than trying to hold open a large paperback.
ps. Just a quick update. The holder just got used for real on several weeks of bike rides in Wales and was outstanding. That included some days where it was probably in the rain for 8 hours plus. Despite not actually being sealed, its just folded over and held by velcro, the maps stayed dry.
