I got this album when it first came out, 10 years ago, when I was 13 years old. Now, I was certainly impressed with it, but you might think that with the passing of all this time, my enjoyment might decrease. Not in the slightest. Out of about 500 CDs that I now have, this is the best of the lot. In my opinion (admittedly as a slightly biased long-term fan), this is probably the best metal album ever released. Every single one of the 'proper' songs are beyond reproach, and the dialogue breaks Monday, Thursday and Friday hold the whole album together allowing the theme to flow through the whole release. Musically too, this was a bit of a groundbreaker. Nowadays it's nothing special to hear a band combining hard riffs with melodic vocals, but in 1993, it was a rare thing indeed. Also, some songs contain elements of NYHC, in a similar style to Biohazard or Sick Of It All, if not quite so aggressive. All in all, if you think bands like Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach and Linkin Park are good (they're not) then buy this to see where they stole their decent ideas from.
