Insight Tempered by Business Experience 26 Mar 2004
By Craig L. Howe - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
The laying of a foundation for the growth of a financial giant was lead by Walter Wriston. Lucid, insightful and prophetic, he led the charge for the creation of today's financial supermarket.

Spend a few moments with this book and you will be introduced to the man who spent 17 years as CEO of Citicorp. The essays and speeches contained in this volume reveal a sharp, creative mind, dedicated to free competition of ideas.

In 1982 I sought training which amounted to helping me find a personal computer's on/off switch. Another lesson was how to insert a five-inch floppy diskette into its drive. About the same time, Wriston was eloquently declaring that money was a "just another form of information" on a computer screen waiting to find the friendliest government at the speed of light.

A passion defender against governmental encroachment, Wriston writes with grace, wit and insight. If more CEOs were this articulate, the business world would be a better place.
