This book is a rather superficial introduction to Enterprise Risk Managment and my overall impression was of a series of lists repeated in more or less detail to categorise different risk types. It is very UK and smaller business-orientated, as is the experience of its author. As such it might be a good checklist for a smaller businesses.

This book is really intended for small company managers who need a checklist type approach to making sure the bases are covered for managing risks relating to 10P's - people, property etc.

It makes useful reference to a wide variety of controls but the limitation of this approach is in focusing too much on the control rather than how to more effectively manage the risk.
