5.0 out of 5 stars An Ideal Beginning, 27 Aug 2006
By I. SWEENEY (UK, YORKSHIRE) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is an ideal volume for those who are trying to discern their vocation and who suspect this vocation lies in the service of God and their fellow man. While not ignoring the more tabloid friendly issues surrounding the Catholic Priesthood today it covers them as part of a whole. It begins where any book on the Priesthood should begin by focusing on the Priest par excellance - Jesus Christ - and continues to explore the personal and social risk of commiting to this road. By pure luck this was the first book I read while beginning my own discernment process and I would recommend it to anyone considering this life whatever the stage of their vocation.
