Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Experience genuine terror from one of Japan’s horror masters, Takeshi Shimizu, in the first ever videogame offering of JU-ON: The Grudge. Using the Wii Remote as a flashlight, players explore haunted areas such as an abandoned warehouse, a dimly lit hospital and a mannequin factory, all whilst trying to remain in control of their nerves. Developed with heavy involvement from Shimizu-san, JU-ON: The Grudge is as close as you can get to actually being in the twisted world of The Grudge.

Use your Wii Remote as a flashlight, with ease of use movement and terrifyingly lit environments

Keep control of your nerves – the more you flinch and jump the worse your performance affects your score

Wii Remote is not just a flashlight – depending on the game flow, controller changes to various devices

Compare your points with friends and family – after finishing each stage the game will judge how scared you were based on how you played

Experience real sounds – the sound effect is a key element of the game and many were actually recorded at existing ruining facilities and buildings to bring realism

Not Bad 23 Dec 2009
Fun:
I've read a lot of bad reviews about this game. Some comments are justified - movement of your character through the game environment is slow and it's frustrating to have to retry failed levels from the beginning.

The game isn't in the Silent Hill/Resident Evil genre so don't buy it if that's what you're hoping for. Grudge can simply be described a fairground haunted house simulator and works well on that level.

Fun:
This is so scary! I jumped so much whilst playing this. The person's movements are a little slow but aren't too slow. I played a level twice and even when I knew what was coming, I still jumped! That's the good thing about this game, it scares you even when you play it again and again :)

If you can get this game cheap, dont mind slow games, and have a sense of hummer, I would say give it a go. Read more

Begrudgingly Bad.
I like off the wall games, I like HK Horror movies. I loved the abandoned spookiness of the Fatal Frame series, so this sounded like it might be worth a run out on the Wii. Read more

Truly terrible 'haunted house' simulator
I am now, and have been for quite a while, a big fan of the survival horror genre, such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Siren: Blood Curse and so on. Read more
