THE BOOK AND THE ACTION FIGURES ARE BETTER THAN THE GAME WHICH HAS A VIRUS ON THE PC VERSION BUT THE PS3 ONE WHICH YOU GET WITH THE FIGURE PLAYS OKAY SO MY ADVICE IS DONT BUY PC GAMES MY LAPTOP HAS A 1 GIG NVIDIA CARD

This is one of the better guides out there and puts some other ones to shame (read Mass Effect 2). Everything is covered and organized very well. I finished the game on my 1st playthrough saving 40 survivors and killing all psychos and completing all the case files. There is no way I could have done that without this guide. If you have not played dead rising 1, you should absolutely get this guide or you will be lost and frustrated with this excellent game. If you have played (and loved) dead rising 1, then you probably don't care about having to do multiple playthroughs to figure everything out without a guide. But this guide is still very convenient to have - combo card locations, item locations, making $, boss strategies (who can be very frustrating), etc. - I highly recommend it.
I agree with the previous reviewer, that for a collector's edition guide they should have included pictures of all weapons, NPCs, and enemies - but that is just a minor gripe.
The black hardbound cover is a smudge magnet and does not wipe off (it is paper but has a matt rubbery texture) - looks cool but not a good idea for a collectors edition.

Great for the DR2 collector

This is a very nice collector edition of the guide. They use a material on the cover that feels kind of like rubber which is cool and unique. The cover also is entirely black apart from the title, and looks great. If you have the Mass Effect 2 Collector Guide the cover looks similar, apart from the unique feel to it.
The unique content is decent in the guide, there is a bland developer interview which has obviously been run past marketing. The concept artwork is also unique to the collector, and it looks awesome - however it does overlap with the art book that comes with the collector edition of the game. There is also a nice huge map in the guide that is included.
Overall, as I love the game, I am very happy with the collector guide. Its probably the nicest looking and feeling guide I have although its also fairly thin. The only negative I have is that as cool as it is having all the weapon charts, it would have been nicer to have a larger guide with for example pictures of the cool weapons, a unique bestiary with artwork etc. I would rate 9/10 or 4 1/2 stars but amazon rounds up so I gave a 5 star with the "could be bigger/better" caveat.

I really like this hardcover guide. It allow me to replay the game few times and every time got something new. And the art bonus section is just awesome.
The book looks cool and really help not just to complete the game with 100% but also find new way to entertain. The guide is complete and very useful (especially information about items in specific section of the game world).
