First time listening to this band and after listening to the album a few times I came away pretty satisfied, its not mind blowing but its a good metalcore album, Gone is my favourite off the album

this is a ok album but for me not as good as the last the album songs are bit boring and nothing really stands out for me the only song that stands out is gone so its okay but not as good as their past records

I've always found Miss May I a potentially great band who have never quite hit their stride. Rise Of The Lion continues the trend and is a very average record. I'm a massive metalcore fan but found this predictable and bland. They are certainly good musicians but the tracks lack a certain mojo, even the album cover is pretty crap! I still feel Miss May I could be an awesome act in the future but am sadly beginning to lose hope! Check out recent albums by August Burns Red, Comeback Kid, Asking Alexandria, Ghost Inside, Misery Signals and Killswitch Engage (Jesse Leach back at last!) for some metalcore bands who are currently top of their game.

Just horrible! 2 May 2014

Miss may I has always been a good band to listen to until they released this horrible album. Like where are the heavy breakdowns like usual and the awesome screams? They r just non-existent in the rise of the lion. I'm not the only one who feels this way. Everyone I know is disappointed by this album....I mean it's not all there fault because the producer has a lot to do with it but I wasted my money on this. It seems at Heart was there last awesome album.

This was a great album by MMI. I loved all of their songs except Tangled Tongues. It also came with a sticker with the Tattoo Lion logo on it! Very cool
Not as bad as people say it is 21 May 2014

I love their last three albums. At first i admit i didn't have interest in getting this album cause of what people have been saying, but i gave it some listens and turned out wanting to buy it. Not as brutal as their past work but it's still MMI.
This album is Epic. 5 May 2014

This album is not nearly has "brutal" as their other ones but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. So in other words if you're here for something that reminds you of their old sound I don't recommend buying this.
