5.0 out of 5 stars Great new Power Metal masterpiece 20 Mar 2014
By James Mitchell - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Iron Savior return with a great new power metal masterpiece. Crisp guitar tones, thundering drums, heavy bass guitar and epic vocals delivered by frontman Piet Sielk. Each one a is a fist pumper. From the opening track Last Hero to the ending track Fistraiser you will not be disappointed. My personal favorite tracks are From Far Beyond Time and Thunder from the Mountains. Both are fast paced power metal tracks sure to satify ones speed metal hunger. The big surprise for me was the song "The Demon" a ballad like track with a simlar vibe to a certain classic Judas Priest song which has some surprising crushing moments. All in all this album is one the best Metal albums of 2014 and as usual Iron Savior delivered a great album. Go buy this album for a great does of true epic power metal \m/

5.0 out of 5 stars Kicks ass !! 20 Mar 2014
By Frank Beck - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Iron Savior are back. Founded in 1996 by guitarist and Mastermind Piet Sielck, Kai Hansen (Gamma Ray) and Thomen Stauch (ex Blind Guardian),they created a typical german powermetal sound with great riffs, doublebass, fantastic hooklines and an awesome voice. Well, the line up changed over the years but the guys an guitar Joachim "Piesel" Küstner, bass Jan S. Eckert and Thomas Nack on drums do a fantastic job since years. After their glorious comeback in 2011 with "The landing" I did not thougth that it could be any better. But it definitly is! The Savior returned. Straight powerful metal, straight into the heart. The hole album is filled with great songs. If you like the Metal eighties combined with a powerful modern sound you have to buy that album.

For fans of Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, Iron Maiden, and Helloween, this is a great metal album, and easiest one of the better ones in 2014 so far.

I like rise of the hero as much as the landing. Not at first but after a few spins I got to really like rise of the hero.
5.0 out of 5 stars It's grown on me a lot 25 Mar 2014
By Josh - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
The first listen through it seemed not quite as good as the Landing but still solid, but after listening to it a few times I'm digging it a lot more. My only complaint is getting it two weeks later than Europe and an entire month after Japan! What's the deal?
