I love English gangster and football hooligan films. The genre is a huge favourate of mine, and when I saw the TV advert for this films DVD release, I thought why not? At best it could rival the likes of Football Factory, The Firm (second release) Rise of The Foot Soldier or Green Street, or at worst it could sink into the likes of Away Days.

First thing's first, it isn't a bad film, it's different, a sort of TV Drama feel. Second thing is..and mark my words "THIS IS NOT A FOOTBALL HOOLIGAN FILM"...not in the slightest. Don't be duped into buying this under the assumption that it's another Hooligan film because it isn't. In this case it dosen't say what it does on the tin, so the word "Hooligan" in the title, a football stadium and a rowdy mob on the case is a false sale. The film is surrounding an Hooligan who's gets himself involved with a gang who commits credit card fraud, football or football violence is merely flirted with in this film. Again I will repeat myself it isn't a bad film..it just isn't what it claims to be.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Great British Crime Thriller 2 July 2012
Format:DVD
I admit it, I'm not exactly the biggest footie fan out there. So, when I sat down to watch this film I wasn't expecting it to be my cup of tea, but I couldn't have been more wrong. WHITE COLLAR HOOLIGAN is a brilliant crime thriller that, I thought, was very well made. The directing and acting here are equally excellent and really keeps you hooked to the screen. All the characters are highly believeable and you'll no doubt find yourself empathising with them as things just keep getting worse and worse.

I can recommened this movie not just to football fans - the film's obvious audience - but also those, like myself, who enjoy the rush of a great crime thriller. Lots of swearing, violence and drama. Great stuff!

4.0 out of 5 stars A really good Movie 3 July 2012
Format:DVD
Im not a proffesional movie reviewer so I ll just try and tell it like it is.
Firstly , it doesnt disappoint on any level, the action is excellent the storyline works well, its well written and the lead roles are very well played , Nick Nevern gives an excellent performance and I think perhaps we have a really good British actor destined for big things .

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
To be honest, this film is just bad.

Poor acting, poor plot....I need to stop or I will depress myself thinking how I wasted part of an evening watching it.
