Product Description

[BookStrand Romantic Suspense, HEA] One violent night shatters Lauren Biltmore’s life. As an anchorwoman, she's accustomed to reporting the news rather than being the lead story. She escapes the spotlight by fleeing to her brother's home in the Cayman Islands. Haunted by nightmares, all she wants is a distraction from reality. Distraction arrives via sexy screenwriter Noah Reynolds. His take-me-to-bed looks mask a past ripe with scandal. He knows he should stay away from Lauren, especially when the worst night of her life unlocks his writer's block and while he's dealing with a stalker of his own, but ethics are his weakness. Attraction sizzles beneath Caribbean sunshine. As their relationship grows, Noah's stalker intensifies her torment. Lauren wonders if her paranoia is justified or a carryover from her past. What's real? What's imagined? Tentative trust is tested as their love is swept up against a riptide of deceit, murder, and revenge. ** A BookStrand Mainstream Romance

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic Read! 1 Mar 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

This is a fantastic romance novel that swept me away to the Caribbean! I loved it!

Lauren Biltmore is a fantastic character. She has survived an attack, but is still emotionally affected. I liked her very much. Although she is tougher than she realises, she believes herself to be weak. However, if I was attacked and survived what she had to go through, I'm not sure I would be sunning myself in a tropical paradise; I would more than likely be residing in a facility with padded walls! Meeting Noah Reynolds may just be her salvation.

Noah Reynolds is also a fantastic character. He is charismatic and sexy man, who has skeletons in his closet. He meets Lauren and sparks fly!

This is an extremely fast paced read that hooked me from the first page. I loved the intrigue and mystery surrounding Noah's stalker. Who were they, and what did they want? Both Lauren and Noah are "damaged goods" in that they both have gone through a traumatic experience, although completely different ones. The story is told with alternating view points between them. This gives the reader the opportunity to understand what each character is going through at a given moment. I wanted to shake Lauren a few times, especially when she started to fall to pieces, as I knew she was capable of handling the situation. I think that out of these two characters, Noah may just be the more sensitive one. I'll leave it to you to decide if you agree with me or not. The attraction that sparks between these two characters is intense; the romance scenes are hot without being too explicit or erotic.

Amber Lea Easton has written an exciting and thrilling romance that flowed beautifully. The intrigue, mystery and danger kept me on the edge of my seat! I highly recommend this book if you love romance novels. - Lynn Worton

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping 30 Aug 2012
By Molly - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This is a well written novel with wide range of fully developed characters and a thread of suspense that pulls the reader in and keeps you guessing up to the end. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent reading this book. Not only is the story completely gripping and entertaining, the author wrote it in such a way that I was torn between wanting to find out what was coming up next and not wanting to leave the moment of the current page. I am looking forward to more from this author, she is a master at creating a story that is easy to get lost in!

5.0 out of 5 stars Caribbean Intrigue, Mystery and Romance 22 Mar 2013
By Pamela - Published on Amazon.com

How can you not love a romance that takes place in the Caribbean - Grand Cayman to be exact. Having been to Grand Cayman, even though it was so long ago, reading this novel brought back memories of the sandy beaches, blue water, and the smell of salt in the air; all of which makes me want to be there this very moment as it's absolutely beautiful. Anyways, back to the novel. "Riptide" is a well-written, fast-paced story with elements of romance, suspense, and mystery with a few twists and turns thrown in. I loved both Noah and Lauren, definite chemistry between the two. Even though they both have something in their lives they're trying to deal with, they don't let it get in their way of having fun together. Even as their feelings grew for each other, they were able to overcome the obstacle or secret that they just discovered which I thought was amazing for the author to do. There was no chasing, or miscommunication that would break them up, get back together, break them up again, get back together again. Both Noah and Lauren discussed the problem and dealt with it like adults. Talk about refreshing. I wish more authors would take this route. I also loved how the author only touched upon what past incident both Noah and Lauren went thru instead of going back in the past and rehashing the whole ordeal. This is an engaging and intriguing novel, at times even keeping you on the edge of your seat; with a few surprises along the way. Definitely worth your while.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent read, exciting story from beginning to end. 14 Sep 2012
By Lynelle - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Both Lauren and Noah are strong characters that I enjoyed immensely. Both had a past trying to cope the best they can but when they came together it was unforgettable. Their journey began at the beach of sunny Cayman Island fixated with each other from the start. Knowing they were all the right wrongs but yet finding happiness being together. Their trails making them stronger as they started to trust each other binding them and learn to say 'I Love You'
The plot executed well flowing through the pages and held you captivated. Coming together dramatically to give you a wonderful ending.
The other characters played their roles well adding to the main characters acredibility making the story believable. Larry that did not like Lauren, thinking she was a pit of need. Austin her brother who thought she was fragile. Alicia dead or alive she broke people as far as she went. Tamara that held a grudge, David?? Read the story and found out for yourself. Smile.
The setting of the Cayman island inter-flowing with the drama unfolding left me craving. Ready to book the next flight.
The steamy scenes was part of the story but not overly done and not crude. I loved it.
The author done a wonderful work bringing a story you would love to read and recommend to fellow suspense romance readers.
Well done Amber Lea.
