As somewhat of an amateur Ripperologist, I was attracted to this film. That a modern day killer may decide to ritually kill a series of victims in such a way as to mirror the modus operandi of 1888's Jack The Ripper seemed like a good plot line for a film. Sadly though, this film is nothing more than a totally unfathomable mess. Almost every cliche in the book of horror films featuring a 'group of teenagers' is here. From the pathetic screaming, the ridiculous ways in which the killer manages to kill his victims, the constant referrals by 'the group' to how 'nothing can happen as long as we stay together' (only for then one of them to 'go out alone') to the 'obligatory' heavy metal/rock soundtrack and 'creepy' music. It's a good job that Kelly Brook is a looker too, because on this evidence she wouldn't have got far on her acting ability, certainly not if her choice of movie was this bad!. Even the ending of the film is a disaster and you can pretty much make your own mind up who the killer was! After 112 minutes of watching this, you will be left wondering why you even THOUGHT that this film would be good. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
