The Rio Total body waxing hair removal kit includes deluxe soft wax for waxing arms and legs (also suitable for men requiring hair removal from the back, legs or chest) and salon hard wax for waxing more sensitive areas such as the bikini line, underarm and facial hair.
The compact wax heater is easy to use, easy to store and features rapid heat up. The removable heating cup allows you to bring the heated wax directly to where you are waxing.
With the new improved formulations, waxing is easier and more effective with Rio Total body waxing.
As a general guide, hard wax is more suitable for sensitive areas such as the bikini line and facial hair. Soft wax is more appropriate for waxing larger areas such as arms and legs and the back.
The instruction guide and step-by-step DVD cover the most troublesome parts of the body such as the upper lip, chin, cheeks, eyebrows, bikini line, underarms, forearms and legs.
Before you start, watch the step-by-step DVD for tips and a complete guide to waxing techniques. Always do a patch test on a small area of your skin for possible skin reaction.
It is also advisable to wash and dry the area you're going to wax to temporarily remove the body's natural oils and help the wax stick to the hairs.
Put a small amount of soft wax into the heating cup then place the cup inside the heater. Switch on the unit to melt the wax. Stir thoroughly until the wax has a similar consistency to syrup.

With a spatula, apply a thin coat of wax on the hairs to be treated then rub down a paper strip over the area. Hold the skin taut and pull the paper off in a quick motion in the opposite direction of hair growth. You may need to soothe the area before you move on to the next area.
Put one tablet of hard wax into the heating cup then place the cup inside the heater. Switch the unit to melt the wax. Stir thoroughly until the wax has a smooth, thick honey-like consistency.
With a spatula, apply a thick and even coat of wax in even strips no wider than one inch. Allow the wax to cool on the skin until it is hard but still pliable. Hold the skin taut and pull the paper off in a quick motion in the opposite direction of hair growth. You may need to soothe the area before you move on to the next area.
Before waxing, trim your hair to about 5mm long.
Peeling off too slowly will be painful and unsuccessful

Great value,

Bought this after comparing and deliberating over more professional - and expensive - models and I'm glad I did! The kit contains everything you need for a good few sessions of both standard and brazilian waxing and a CD with simple instructions for each.
Of course, it's not perfect: The two temperature alternatives are not enough - you need to switch back and forth to keep the optimum temperature - but that's not the end of the world. Also, the pot of soft wax doesn't fit in the machine (well, only about a third does, so I didn't try heating it this way) so you have to transfer some into one of the little pans. This is pretty messy and almost impossible unless you first heat the whole tub! Perhaps you could do this in a microwave but I don't have one, so I used a pan of water on the stove. I'm hoping that if I buy another brand of wax it will be smaller and fit in the warmer without emptying out...but I have yet to find out!

My top beauty product 2008!!,

Easy to use and a great bargain, I have seen this in shops for much higher prices.
As a newby to DIY waxing I was a little worried about trying it but this little machine makes it effortless and quite fun! Is a bit messy if you melt the wax direct in the pot but plan ahead and heat the entire pot of wax to get great, unsticky results. Very much recommended for any beauty fanatics out there and a lot cheaper than getting waxed in a salon with exactly the same results.

i saw the reviews and bought this product, it has everything which anyone should need for waxing, but the wax pot is very small and getting the wax to melt in the heater given takes ages.. the wax is also messy when you try to put the right quantity in the wax pot.. overall it is cheap than a parlour visit and it done carefully does the job..
