There are never 2 games alike. The possible combinations are huge, which raises the longevity of this game. The strategy takes a great part in the game, and every player has his own strategy to get those Victory Points as fastest they can.
The continuous shuffling that this game demands, may ruin the cards, so I had to buy some covers to preserve the game. This is the only negative point of the game, as this covers should be provided. The amount of covers needed is 500.

"Dominion: Intrigue" is second and the best game from Dominion family. You don't need to have original "Dominion" to play this one.

Great mechanic, simple rules and a lot of interaction. Decks are interesting and full of opportunities. Game works very well with 2, 3 and 4 players.

If you enjoyed playing Dominion this is the next game to buy as it makes the original much more interesting and exciting. Saying that, this can also be an exciting game just on its own. The cards in this game are a little more complex than the cards in the original, so if you have not played the original it may take a few games to really get into it. But, once you've started playing, you'll never want to stop.. 'just one more game..'

Firstly, hats off to DPD. They give you an hour delivery window, and pretty well stick to it, so thankfully I don't have to waste a whole day waiting in.

Secondly, the game. Brilliant. As a standalone game it has a very different feel to Dominion, the play feels a lot more open, but games can take longer. Whilst the high value victory cards are still powerful, they are not the be all and end all. It is possible to win games without a majority of these cards.

Mixing it up with the original Dominion game is where things really get interesting. There are some fascinating combinations, which can throw the best laid plans completely out of the window.

If you are reading this and thinking of hitting the buy button. Just do it, you won't regret it!

Dominion is a family of games and absolutely suitable for the family [ages 10+]. It provides interaction, fellowship, challenges, and once learnt, takes 25-35 mins a game and it becomes addictive. I recommend looking at "Dominion" [the basic game] and the other 6 expansions [Cornucopia, Alchemy, Prosperity, Sea-Side, Dark Ages, Hinterlands] and get ready for "Guilds" which is to be available Mar-Apr 2013. Don't just think about it ... go for it.

This game is well designed, easy to learn for a card-based game. It has a strong strategic element to it, and the successful strategies vary depending on initial set-up. We enjoyed playing it in the family, and my son and his friends enjoy it at university as well.

I bought this as an add-on to the original Dominion, though it does contain all the base cards required to be played as a standalone game. The new cards add a lot of scope for variations on game play and strategy, and keep the game fresh. I would say these cards lend themselves better to a game with more than 2 players, where the "intrigue" element becomes more relevant, but even in a two player game the added longevity brought by the extra Kingdom Cards make this a very worthwhile purchase.

I've bought Dominion Intrigue after having played Dominion for a few months, and it certainly spices the basic game. It's fun, the action cards give you interesting options, and you can chain them better than in Dominion. The dual cards (both Action and Victory, or both Victory and Treasure) are also very useful. I recommend using sleeves to protect the cards and shuffle them easily.

About the order dispatch: it was perfect, I've received it sooner than estimated.
