This is a really great product, you get high quality for a low price - I certainly couldn't find anything cheaper online or elsewhere. However, PLEASE don't be fooled by the recent reviews stating that the packaging is perfect to give as a gift - it's not. The pieces are packaged in plastic and come laid in a cardboard 'tray' (for want of a better word), inside a cardboard box. This 'tray' is good because it means the pieces stay in place and are not rolling around in the box. However, I wouldn't say that it's nice enough to wrap up the box and give as a gift. Do what I did and take the pieces out, place everything inside the metal shaker, and put it in the kind of gift bag that is used for wine bottles. Fits perfectly and is much easier than wrapping up fiddly individual pieces. The recent reviews that gush about the 'repackaging' are the result of a letter which is included with the product, offering customers a £2 refund if they write a positive review on Amazon! Didn't think this was very fair as it may fool other prospective customers into thinking it was a wonderfully presented gift set. I don't wish to sound negative and detract from the product though, as it really is very good. Delivery was prompt, too, so it's a great buy.

I agree with another reviewer - don't believe what people say about the packaging being great for use as a gift, as it is simply in a delivery box (albeit very securely packaged so very little risk of any damage). However, the product itself is excellent, and the delivery time top-notch - I had actually received the package before I got an email from Amazon telling me it had been distpatched!

I brought this to make a few cocktails for a party and I am very impressed. It is certainly not the sort of "party kit" you find in the supermarkets - all of the equipment is professional standard, the thimble measures are a very solid stainless steel as is the spoon. The Boston Shaker is full size and with a very nice weight and it fits the Hawthorne very neatly. If you are looking for a proper cocktail kit that will give a lot of use then this is certainly recommendable and the pack includes everything you need in a single go.
