I bought these figures because I am a Lord of the Rings fan of the books and movies and I think there is something charming about the travelling 5 hobbits. I bought them for display purposes only, i.e. out of the packaging and on the home office desk and already Sam Gangee's arm has fallen off! So I dread to imagine what would happen to his other limbs if a child was playing with them. Also don't buy it for the prospect of the journal 'there and back again' because there are about 4 pages in it and they are all just cheap portrayals of middle earth maps.
