I purchased this 12v Heater because, I often use my car for commuting to work on cold mornings. And it does take time to clear the windscreen waiting the the engine to warm up and putting on the interior heater to clear the windscreen.So I purchase this product to speed up the process of clearing the view of the windscreen. It does the job but, it could be better. The fan has one speed of heat. In my opinion the fan could be more powerful to blow heat quicker. But for the money is ok.

Appears good value but have not had chance to check on cooling fan yet. Overall heating capability was only rated as relatively poor to good. Too localised and insufficient heat only partially cleared a 100 cm2 area of the internal windscreen on a car after overnight frost with a high level of internal condensation after 6 or 7 minutes!

I purchased 2 of these at the start of the cold snap. The effectiveness on a scale of 1-10 (good) I would struggle to give a 1 if I was being honest. The heat produced melted a hole the size of a 50p piece after about 3/4 minutes. Move it along to melt another area and the first area freezes up. By which time the car heater has warmed up.

Just about does the job!
This product is not brilliant but just about does manage to do the job and is certiainly better than nothing if your car heater is broken! Would recommend if you have nothing else. Read more
