I really enjoyed this book. I just loved riley and regina. Riley is teaching regina (red) for short self defence lesson's because some strange happening's have been going on. First regina is in a building when someone sets it alight, then her flat is ransacked and prior to this other accident's have been occurring. Once riley find's out about all the going's on, he move's red into his flat so he can keep an eye on her. There is a good twist to the end of the story, but all's well that end's well. I thought riley's character was a great guy, and I loved the way he started to get used to the little dog she had bought for protection.
You get to hear about how ethan and rosie's marriage is getting along and about buck who's story is in another anthology.
Lori foster just get's better and better with her stories.

After reading men of courage (Ethan's story) I couldn't wait to read about Riley & Regina. Regina is a reporter who is writing a story about Ethan. She goes to Riley to learn self defence after some disturbing incidents. No one believes her, except Riley. To keep her safe Riley moves her into his home with her little dog. The dog is hillarious. He has appointed himself Regina's personal bodyguard, a part Riley wants to be & a whole lot more. I read this book in a few hours, it was brilliant.

i am a big fan of lori foster's, but have put off buying this book as the review was not very good,that was a mistake.i thought that this book was wonderful.Riley was such a nice charactor and quite the hero, where as Regina reminded me of myself,similar homelife and outlook on life.Reviews are reader's personal views, but somtimes we have to remember that everybody's views differ to that of others.My advice - if your a big fan of an author give every book a chance, i've not yet found a book of lori foster's that i have not enjoyed.
