Product Description

The revolutionary rigifix® all-in-one dry lined wall fixing solution After almost 20 months in research and development, a bespoke design team, in conjunction with a leading UK University have now achieved a product destined to be the fixing product of the year. Why? Because it's creation is led by its potential application. The days of traditional plastering are over; we dry line with plasterboard/fibre board, which whilst economical and practical, raises issues for attaching contemporary heavy items such as plasmas and designer radiators. Suitable for fixing heavy duty items e.g. TV/ PC/ Plasma screens, kitchen units, radiators, shelving, curtain poles, air conditioning units, etc. to a dry lined or fibre insulation board wall, transferring the load to the masonry without affecting the plasterboard integrity. Drill hole to required diameter and depth, and insert the plastic Rigifix© expansion plug. Using an allen key screw into the plug the threaded sleeve until the sleeve is fully home, or to the level of the plug head. Place the Pozi headed set screw through your bracket/item and screw down into the Rigifix© threaded sleeve.

Highly recommend for using with Block and Dot 'n' Dab plaster board walls.

Mounted 40" LCD TV on Designer Habitat - LCD Plasma TV Wall Tilt Bracket.

How I Used:

First measured, then measured again. Check for electrical cables and that the whole wall is a least 150mm deep.

The M8 fixings require a 16mm hole - that is a big drill bit!

I used a punch to mark the hole and then gently drilled through the plaster board. Then turned the drill to max and drilled the required 110mm (mark your drill bit) through to the block. Then check the site of the next holes using a spirit level. Once level, mark and drill the next hole.

Tapped the liner in gently and then used an Alan key to secure the thread - really tight fit. Keep going as it does go in all the way.

Screw in the bracket to the wall (tip: also use washer). Hang TV. Perfect.

Tips - probably could have used 2 M6 anchors vs 4 x M8, as each M8 takes 100kg! Cheaper and will only need 120mm drill bit. But I am happy that the TV is highly unlikely to come off the wall.

CompuBuyz: Cheapest by far and fast delivery.

These bolts have turned out to be the find of the year as I live in a new build house I have always had problems putting raw plugs in the wall because it's plater board then a small gap before you get to the brick work nothing ever seemed that safe when you put it up. So when it came to putting my new 47 inch tv up I had concerns about it falling off or having to use huge bolts. These where easy to put in and I think I could hang a tank off the tv bracket now. I have been that pleased with them I have changed the fixings on the smaller tvs in the bedrooms as the brackets never fitted flush to the wall and the screws would just keep turning now you can shake the brackets and they don't move.
Delivery was next day after ordering and was as cheep as anything in the DIY shops.
If your thinking hanging anything heavy don't look for anything else just use these also the shop was very helpfull on what size to use.
The only problem I had was the screw heads where a little small for the size of the holes on the bracket they stiill held the bracket to the wall but just to be sure I put a steel washer behinde the screw and that solved the problem only cost 50p from the DIY shop.

I bought these to put a wall/mount tv fixing to the wall as the original pack was not up to standard. After following the guide line drill/screw guides ( no inclusive instructions ) on the wall plug, I could not screw the the inner sleeve into the wall (fully home) with MY allen key.
I phoned the supplier and was told that i had to put a lot of energy into the drill to drive home the sleeve, I told him I didn't have a fitting for a drill/allen key only a manual one. After trying to do this manually I found it impossible, gave up and had to buy new wall plugs . This meant that the site had to be relocated and the final location not where i wanted it to be.

For fixing anything heavy these have to be the best.
I have used them before, so naturally choose these when something strong is needed.

Have used these in Hollow Walls to hang a heavy TV, they have done a great job, and were easy to install.
