Product Description
After his death from Motor Neurone Disease, Adam O'Neill's wife Naomi discovers the diary he kept of his illness, from diagnosis to death. An intensely moving, gripping tale involving the reader in the dramatic dilemmas faced by Adam and his family and how they cope with the inexorable onward stages of his illness, leading to the inevitable finale of his death (I wept!). A compelling drama, forcing us to think of the moral and ethical issues involved. The realism made me feel a part of the action - I kept looking around for my wheelchair! Written in an unusual but well-crafted style.

I am half way through 'Right to Die' and I am finding it an excellent read. Hazel McHaffie combines her extensive knowledge of medical ethics and moral dilemmas into an entertaining and lively drama. The result is an immensely readable book, which tackles the controversial and topical issue of assisted dying with great sensitivity. It will appeal not only to those who enjoy a thought-provoking plotline with very real characters, but also to the many people with personal experiences similar to those portrayed and to the general reader with an interest in medical ethics. It is a unique and fascinating book and I cannot wait to read on!

I'm halfway through this book, and am thoroughly enjoying it. Very thought provoking, and handles the issues incredibly sensitively and soundly.
I'd heartily recommend this book to anybody wanting to know more about Motor Neurone Disease, or who is interested in the ethics and dilemmas surrounding euthanasia, or who just wants a good read.
