Yes it is expensive for what it is but it shines any glass to a spotless finish. Much better than other microfibres. Very impressed. Whole family now has one!

Perfect size for drying and polishing wine glasses 10 Dec 2011
By Roger - Published on Amazon.com

I use this cloth for polishing my Spiegelau wine glasses, and it works perfectly. After I got my first set of nice wine glasses, I realized that I just air drying my wine glasses would leave water marks all over the glass. So I went on Amazon to look for a good drying cloth. Riedel is a name brand, and the price was definitely reasonable, so I went with this cloth. The size is big enough that you can cover both of your hands with the cloth, so you won't leave fingerprints on freshly polished glass, and the cloth is durable and doesn't scratch the glass. I've been using this cloth for almost a year now, and I still haven't felt the need to wash it.

My usual routine is to handwash my glasses, and as I finish washing one glass, I'll place it upside down on a paper towel. Then once I'm done with the glasses (sometimes 10 glasses at a time), I'll start drying from the first glass I washed. By this time, the glass isn't soaking wet, so my cloth doesn't get soaking wet, but there's still enough moisture left on the glass so that you can polish and wipe down the glass. To get the inside of the bowls, I usually bunch up the cloth and shove it into the bowl. Then I just rotate the glass while holding onto the cloth, which forces the cloth to wipe up against the inside of the bowl. Watch out, though. Spiegelau glasses are pretty durable, but you might break a stem off of a Riedel if you do what I do and turn the glass by the stem while holding onto the cloth inside. My glasses always end up clear and clean.

If you want a durable, reliable cloth to clean your glasses, go with this one.

Riedel Cloth 7 Nov 2007

I work at several wineries and these cloths are an industry standard. They polish all glassware absorbing and leaving no lint. They are the same material used to clean sunglasses so they are designed not to leave even the smallest abrasion.

I never had my glasses look better. I'm now not ashamed to bring them out with all of the hard water spots that i used to just ignore. big enough so that you can cover both your hands with the cloth to polish, even on the huge glasses. Very Pleased

Excelsior! 29 Oct 2010

I have a large collection of glassware, ranging from Riedel, Libbey to antique crystal, all designed to serve a myriad of functions. Without a doubt, polishing glassware to perfection is often annoying.

I decided to bite the bullet and buy this microfiber cloth and it is honestly the most wonderful cleaning tool for glass. After rinsing the glassware under some cool water, shaking off the excess, and wiping with the Riedel very briskly, you get a wonderful shine and clear finish to the glass with no spots.

In terms of washing the cloth, there are a few requirements; wash the microfiber cloth along with whites (in hot water), ensuring that it is neither put into the dryer nor that there is any fabric softener.

Large, refined and elegant: Recommended 26 Oct 2009
By Robert Dwyer - Published on Amazon.com
I compared this wine glass towel to the other options I could find on the market (towels from Wine Enthusiast and Wubeez). Though it wasn't my top pick, I give this product a favorable rating and would recommend it. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with this product.

This is strong entry from the Riedel wine glass company (rhymes with needle) . The product is thoughtfully designed and marketed consistently with their industry-leading glassware products.

Strengths:
-Size. This was the largest towel of the group.
-Aesthetics. This was the most refined and elegant looking towel I evaluated. Its white background makes it easy to see when the towel has gotten dirty and needs to be washed. Its red trim with black Riedel logo look crisp.
-Pliability. The Riedel towel's silky material enables it to easily drape over and around a glass

Weaknesses:
-Absorbency. It takes me a couple of passes to dry a wet glass with a dry towel.
-Weight. Although the towel is by far the largest, the lightweight material it is made of collapses on itself when you try to bunch it up inside a large glass.

Recommendation: Recommended.
