Fans have been taken advantage of in the last two years what we've received Is effectively half seasons and to top it off now a shrunk down 50th.
(Really 50 years deserves more than a 90min episode it was supposed to be a 5 or 6 part to make it up to the usual 13 episodes after only 8 episodes being shown this year) So much for that. (Thx S.Moffat)
They have released both halves of season 7 and both xmas specials and now the complete set, now there's nothing new in that but there asking for £35 for material that's already been released and part of which is now effectively 2 years old.
I won't be paying anything near that i'll wait till it drops probably a month after release.
The BBC really need to get there act together when it comes to pricing & don't even get me started on the complete box-set @ £167. It's really not fare to all us loyal fans.
I think it's extremely reasonable myself, 5 Blu-ray Discs and like you said the first complete series box set released in 2 years, £35 every two years to keep my who collection complete? Happy days. Just go and take a look at the price of other blu rays then come back if you still want to moan.
Rofl indeed a fool and his money. Oh i've seen other blu-ray look at supernatural season 8 £29 and it has 23 episodes all new episodes not half of them 2 yr old. Walking dead s3 16 eps all new= £30 Arrow s1 23 eps =£23.63 Homeland s2 12 eps = £27.50 All new series all in the top 100 maybe YOU should look at other Blu-ray again I think you've missed the point completely. I have over 400 Blu-ray titles including many series dr. who, Spartacus, supernatural. star wars clone wars etc. etc. Come on wake up £36 for 7 old eps and 8 newer eps that have already been released in two half sets over the last 2 years and still this is the most expensive new release to buy, yep the bbc love people like you no wonder they price items so high people like you just buy regardless. Oh and you can still complete your set in a month or so when the price has dropped £8-£10 nobody said never to buy it ever.
At the time of posting, it's actually cheaper to buy the complete box set from the BBC than it is on Amazon, which is unusual. You don't have to buy it straight away. The technology is there to record it to view when ever you want ... granted it is spoiled by the inane drivel of the continuity announcer, but you why not keep it on your recorder for a bit and if you want the box set at a later date, when it's half the price, buy it then. Never understood the desire to buy stuff immediately on release when it's at an inflated price anyway. Wait a bit until it comes cheaper and look around ... Amazon isn't always the best price.
