NOt up to the standards of L'amours own name work but this book, originally published as by Tex Burns, is a rip roaring adventure starring Clarance Mulford's hero.

If you like Hopalong Cassidy novels, you sure would like this one. It has lots of action and is kind of like a mystery. I really liked it.

This was an interesting purchase as it was A 'Hopalong Cassidy' story whom I remembered from the day of my youth on the small screen. Back when "Normal Service will be resumed as soon as possible" was a common occurrence. A little bit different to what I was expecting from Louis L'amour. Also interesting in the after-word that Louis L'amour's daughter tells us that he disclaimed writing the 4 'Hopalong' novels. I managed to get through it and quite enjoyed it as a very light-weight read. In other words, don't set your expectations too high for this title.
