Hot, hard, and perfect for a lazy summer afternoon or a chilly fall evening.
I know when I delve into an Anne Rainey book, I'm going to come away happy. This book didn't disappoint. Ride of Her Life is exactly that, a steamy hot ride through the lives of Lily and Kyle. It might be set in small town Ohio, but I certainly felt like I was right there, floating down the main drag and hanging out in the local park. It might have been a quick read, but it's one I suggest you read again and again.
Lily is not without issues. Thirty-six, recently divorced from a jerk, she's unsure of herself. Who wouldn't be? Although she assumes an awful lot and at times comes across a bit needy, it makes perfect sense once we meet the antagonist. He's a pill and I'm glad she got away from him. Once she comes into her own, this is a woman who can't be stopped and I rooted for her all the way!
But the best part of this book was Kyle. Talk about a hunk! Whew. I wish I had a Kyle in my closet. I liked the little glimpses of domination in his personality that I'd love to see at full blossom. Plus, who can turn down a man whose good with his hands and rides a chopper? I'm sold.

The love scenes in this book are excellent. You know the characters care about each other and unlike some erotica stories that are shorter, the scenes aren't rushed or thrown in too quickly. I really got a sense that something deeper was building each time Lily and Kyle touched.
If you want a story that will stick with you far after the last page, then I'd suggest Ride of Her Life. This is one for my keeper shelf. 5 cherries indeed.
