The Ricoh CX6 has a Back-illuminated CMOS sensor + Smooth Imaging Engine IV. This enables you to recreate high-contrast scenes exactly as they appear to the naked eye. Along with the sensor the Ricoh CX6 has an Image sensor shift image stabiliser, this reduces the hand-motion blurring that tends to occur in situations such as telephoto and macro shooting.

Ultra High Speed

Using the CX6 is really easy especially when you have a feature such as Ultra high speed focus. The CX6 achieves AF focus times of 0.1 sec, therefore the moment you point the camera, the subject is in focus. It also has Continuous Shooting, this includes speeds of up to 3 frames/sec. The Ricoh CX6 also has Face-priority multi-AF system.

High Versatility

The CX6 allows you to shoot images from wide-angle to telephoto. This is the equivalent to 28–300mm in 35mm + 600mm Super Resolution Zoom. If you prefer to use the CX6 for shooting images of flowers or wildlife, it has a Macro Mode (1 cm). This allows you to take shots of distances as close as 1 cm away. Plus the CX6 has Zoom Assist Display, for easy framing during telephoto shooting.

Creative Shooting Modes

The CX6 allows you to be creative with your shots whilst maintaining control. The CX6 has an Aperture/shutter priority (A/S) mode, which allows for a more powerful and expressive image. You can also freeze moving subjects or to emphasise movement by causing the background to flow. The Ricoh CX6 has many scene modes to enable you to be in the right mode to capture the shot perfectly. The CX6 also has many creative effects including Bleach Bypass, Miniaturize, Soft Focus, Cross Process, Toy Camera, High Contrast B&W. As well as stills you can capture 1280x720 pixel HD movie that allows for quality movie clips. With the Ricoh CX6 the video editing is in the body, so there is no need to use a computer, and there is also a Movie recording button for direct access to movie mode.

Ease Of Use

The Ricoh CX6 has a large 3 inch, 1.23 million-dot LCD monitor with a wide viewing angle and high contrast for vivid image reproduction. The LCD Screen has a Fluorine coat - to prevent soiling, Hard coat - to prevent scratches and an Anti-reflection coat - to give excellent visibility even outdoors. It even has a new automatic LCD brightness adjustment function that automatically adjusts brightness depending on the subject brightness.
